Ahoy, Captains! 

Get ready to build, race, and (possibly) sink in style — it’s time for the Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Huntley Hills Swim and Tennis Club!

September 7 

Sailors arrive at 3:30pm, first heat of boats launch at 4pm

What’s a Cardboard Boat Regatta?
Teams will design and build their own boats using only cardboard and duct tape, then race them across the pool! It’s a test of creativity, engineering… and the ability to stay afloat.

Rules:

• Boats must be constructed prior to the race and made only of cardboard and duct tape
• Paddles may be made from additional materials or be store bought
• Max 2 people per boat during the race
• Creativity and costumes encouraged — awards for Best Design, Fastest Finish, and Most Epic Sinking!

Spectators welcome! Come cheer on your favorite teams and a whole lot of laughs poolside.
