An Epic Day of Tennis, Tunes & Poolside Fun!

Get ready for a day packed with energy, laughter, and unforgettable memories at the Swing, Splash & Strings Bash! This family-friendly summer celebration brings together the best of tennis, music, and poolside fun—all in one action-filled event.

All party proceeds will be designated to a tennis court resurfacing project.

Here is the lineup

10:00a – Four 15-minute rounds of King of the Court with a 5 minute break between each round.  Prizes will be offered to winners of each round and there must be a minimum of 10 players for each round.  Entry fee is $5 for each 15-minute round or $15 for all four rounds. 12:30p – Concession Stand will Open

We will have a Low Country Boil consisting of shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn at $15 per plate.  Bottomless cups can be purchased for $20 for the entire day.  Single serve cups will be available as well.

1:00p – Band SoJoAtl starts

2:00p – Fastest Serve Contest – $1 per ball, serve must be legal in order to qualify.  After 60 minutes, fastest legal serve will win a prize.

4:30p – Tennis Target Game – $1 per ball.  A target will be placed on the tennis courts.  Standing on the tennis deck, hitting a ball with a tennis racket, the closest ball to the target wins.

6:00p – The RAY MINORS take the stage at HHSTC.

9:00p – Pool Closes.

King of the Court – We will have FOUR 15-minute sessions of King of Court with a five minute break between. Who ever is King of the Court at the end of the 15-minute session will win a great prize! Sessions will start at 10, 10:20, 10:40, and 11. Each session is $5 to play and if you want to play all four it is $15!

This game may be played as doubles or singles depending on the number of participants. One pair or person, designated as the “king” or “queen,” goes to the opposite side of the court. The other players make a line behind the baseline of the current side. The player or doubles team challenger steps up and plays a point against the “king.” The point is started with either a serve or a drop hit. If the challenger wins, they replace the “king” on the other side of the court.

Fastest Serve Contest- One court will have a speed gun for clocking serve speeds. The other court will be for warming up these amazing serves. For $1 per ball, you have the opportunity to serve. For a serve to be counted, it must be a legal serve. At the end of 60 minutes, the fastest serve will be rewarded with a prize. In the event of a tie, there will be a “serve off” to determine the winner. Judges on the court have final say in determining if the serve was valid for entry and determining winners.

Tennis Target Game- We will set up a target on one court. For $1, you can hit a tennis ball with a tennis racket from the tennis deck onto the court. The final resting place of the ball closest to the target wins. At 5p, the judge will either require a playoff or declare a winner.
