Turkey Tennis Bonanza – Let’s Play!

The second annual Huntley Hills Turkey Tennis Bonanza is just around the corner!
Join us on Wednesday, November 26 at 6:30 PM sharp for an evening of friendly competition, laughter, and a little pre-Thanksgiving chaos on the courts.

This is a light-hearted, social event — everyone’s welcome, whether you’re playing for glory, fun, or just to earn bragging rights before turkey day.

How It Works

• Buy-In: $10 for members, $15 for non-members or family.

• BYOB: Bring a six-pack of your favorite beverage. You can drink from your own stash during play — and the winning doubles team takes home anything left over!

• Round 1: You’ll be paired with random rotating partners for short sets of 4 games (everyone serves once).

  • No-ad scoring (at deuce, the receiving team can choose who receives).

  • Every game you win earns 1 personal point toward your total.

• Advancement: Points are tallied after Round 1 to decide who moves on.

• Turkey & Giblets Courts: Players with the highest first-round scores will go to the Turkey Court, and those with lower scores to the Giblets Court — so everyone stays competitive and has fun.

Elimination Rounds

• Round 2: Single elimination with a new, randomly assigned partner that you’ll keep.

  • Best of 4 games.

  • No-ad scoring, ALTA tiebreak to 7 if needed (win by 2).

  • Switch sides when combined points equal 6.

• Finals: Best of 6 games, win by 2, no-ad scoring. If tied 6–6, play an ALTA tiebreak to 7.

Prizes & Bragging Rights

Winners receive:

• A custom bag tag

• Bragging rights for the year

• And all leftover beverages to take home for Thanksgiving Day 🍻

On-Court Fundraising Games

We’ll also have two quick fundraising games during the night — both target-style challenges.

• $1 per ball to participate

• Pay at the time of play (no obligation to join)

• All proceeds go toward tennis court maintenance and repairs

Arrive by 6:15 PM to check in — play starts promptly at 6:30 PM!
